In high-protection enclosure designs, compression latches are critical because they apply inward mechanical force when closed, helping compress the gasket uniformly around the door perimeter. This sealing effect depends on two factors:

  1. Sufficient Compression Travel: If the compression travel is inadequate, the gasket will not seat correctly, compromising the seal.
